Lovable's built-in testing or an independent test?
While you build in Lovable, its built-in testing is the natural first choice: it runs in the editor when you ask for it in the chat, and the fix happens in the same place. [1] Avalyz is a complement when you want an independent test of the published address, a report you can keep or share as a PDF, or a test of apps built with other tools.
Need by need
| Need | Lovable | Avalyz |
|---|---|---|
| What is tested | In the browser: clicks, forms, screenshots, console and network; frontend tests; verification of backend functions. [1] | 13 test levels, each with its maturity stated: accessibility, visuals and languages, performance and resilience; passive security and compliance checks (cookies before consent); partial API, data and business checks. |
| Method | An agent inside the Lovable editor, started from the chat when you ask for it. [1] | An outside test, independent of the tool that built the app: a real browser visits the published address, at desktop and phone sizes. |
| What you provide | Nothing to set up for an app built in Lovable; it can sign in to test an app that uses the Lovable Cloud backend. [1] | The address of the published app, whichever tool built it. Optional: a test account (by default the test is read-only, and signing in is the one form it submits) and the address of your source code for the static, unit and component levels. |
| Report | The agent reports what it observed: screenshots, console and network activity. [1] | A plain-language summary, findings ranked by severity, the list of what was not tested, a PDF, a protected and expiring share link, and a « Copy for my AI » version to paste into your app builder. |
| Price | Part of Lovable; the testing documentation gives no separate price. [1] | $9 a month (Perso), $19 (Pro) or $49 (Premium), no commitment. |
| Free tier | No separate free tier for testing is described in the testing documentation. [1] | 1 free tests a day without an account; 3-day Pro trial, no card. |
What Avalyz does not do
- No attack and no access-control test between two accounts: security checks are passive.
- With a test account, role-based journeys are listed, not played end to end.
- No native mobile app (iOS, Android): Avalyz tests web pages, at desktop and phone sizes.
